Skill points

Skills are the number of a horse's skill points that determine its performance at a competition; the more skill points, the more points on the protocol. A horse's number of skill points is shown on the bottom left of the horse profile.

The different skills points of a horse are as follows:
  • Obedience
  • Agility
  • Stamina
  • Speed
  • Strength

Horses directly from the Valley have a fixed number of skill points, namely 100. The number of skill points of foals can be increased by training your horses before breeding them; the more stars a horse has, the higher the skill points of his/her offspring will be.

Skill points calculation

  • Dressage bonus explanation:
    1) Round down: dressage stars of the stallion / 2
    2) Round down: dressage stars of the mare / 2
Add up the result of 1 & 2. this is the dressage bonus.

  • Jumping bonus explanation
    1) Round down: jumping stars of the stallion / 2
    2) Round down: jumping stars of the mare / 2
Add up the outcome of 1 & 2. this is the jumping bonus.

  • Mixed bonus explanation
Round up: (dressage bonus + jumping bonus) / 2

  • Obedience calculation
Round down: (Obedience mare + obedience stallion) / 2
    Add the dressage bonus here.

  • Agility calculation
Round down: (Agility mare + Agility stallion) / 2
    Hereby add the dressage bonus.

  • Stamina calculation
Round down: (Stamina mare + Stamina stallion) / 2
    Add the jumping bonus.

  • Speed calculation
Round down: (Speed mare + Speed stallion) / 2
    Add the jumping bonus.

  • Strength calculation
Round down: (Strength mare + Strength stallion) / 2
    Hereby add the mixed bonus.

Note! Each skill has an extra score that goes from -2 points to +2 points. Your final score can therefore differ by -10 to +10 points in total.

If one or more bars of a horse are not maxed, these specific bars start at 0% in an offspring of that horse. Foals of horses not fully maxed are therefore more work to train to 100%.

Breed level

Breed level allow you to see how good your horse's skills are compared to other horses of the same breed. For this, it looks at the rounded percentage of the number of horses of the same breed that have equal or higher skills than your horse divided by the total number of horses of the same breed.

The distribution is then as follows:

  • Breed level 10: belongs to the best 3% of the breed
  • Breed level 9: belongs to the best 5% of the breed
  • Breed level 8: belongs to the best 10% of the breed
  • Breed level 7: belongs to the best 15% of the breed
  • Breed level 6: belongs to the best 25% of the breed
  • Breed level 5: belongs to the best 40% of the breed
  • Breed level 4: belongs to the best 60% of the breed
  • Breed level 3: belongs to the best 80% of the breed
  • Breed level 2: does not have enough skills for breed level 3, but has at least 100 skill points
  • Breed level 1: has less than 100 skill points
