We are currently looking for a motivated volunteer to join the moderator team!
You’ll first gain hands-on experience as a forum moderator. Once we get to know your strengths better, we can eventually explore other volunteer positions within the moderator team that might be a great fit for you. As a forum moderator, you will take on a variety of responsibilities, ensuring the smooth operation of all forum sections on My Horsez. This makes moderation both engaging and dynamic - no two days are the same!

What does a moderator do?
Moderators are volunteers who help keep the forum organised, answer questions, and resolve conflicts when needed. As part of the moderator team, you will also participate in online team meetings. In addition to these meetings, we regularly chat with each other or organise online activities together, for example an online escape room or quiz.

As a forum moderator, your main responsibility is to keep the forum a welcoming and tidy space. This includes tasks such as correcting topic titles, managing disputes, and maintaining a positive environment for all users. Of course, these are just a few examples of what the role entails. If you’re familiar with the forum and interested in taking on these responsibilities, this role might be perfect for you!

Age requirement:
You must be at least 18 years old to apply. Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions to this rule.

What we expect from a moderator
We use the following guidelines to determine whether someone is a good fit for the role. Take a moment to see if you meet these expectations:
* Available 1 hour per day to complete moderation tasks.
* Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
* Proactive and engaged approach.
* Responsible and able to work independently.
* A team player - collaboration is important to us!
* Active on My Horsez for at least 2 months.
* Willing to agree to a moderator/confidentiality agreement
* Comfortable with participating in video calls.
